Kristen and Ryan – Longlook Farm, Sanbornton, NH – NH Fall Wedding
READ MOREKristen and Ryan introduced us to a true New England destination wedding location: Longlook Farm in Sanbornton, New Hampshire. The property and building can be rented for the weekend, offering a rustic, elegant wedding setting. It even comes with all sorts of vintage items that you are able to use to decorate (mason jars, votives, window panes, shutters, lights, sheer draping, draperies, grapevines, vases)! As you scroll through the photos, keep an eye out for the chalkboard signs. Kristen’s brother painted all of them.
We LOVED this venue and were so impressed with the work Kristen and Ryan did to personalize this location. We also loved the vintage feel of the dresses. The bridesmaids wore ivory dresses, complementing the dress worn by Kristen. Kristen also had her 2 brothers as “bridesmen”, and they looked dashing in their suits.
The wedding is always more than the decor, and this one was no exception. As Kristen was getting ready, she just kept saying “I just want to see him (Ryan)”. As soon as they were together for the first look photos, you could see all of their nerves just go away. They are one of those couples that are just so into each other that you could see them catching quiet, intimate moments even though they were surrounded by a room full of people. They even scheduled into their timeline a few minutes after the ceremony to just be alone together to take it all in.
Mike and I wish you every happiness, both now and in the future. XXOO, Mike & Becca
A special thanks to the vendors that made their day a success:
- The wedding was held in Sanbornton, NH at the Longlook Farm
- The music was by the Murray Hill Talent & Scott Arrington
The chalkboard signage was done by Kristen’s brother.
“first look” moments never get old to me.
On the lawn at Longlook Farm in Sanbornton, NH.
I may have gotten a little choked up when Ryan wiped away a tear for Kristen during the ceremony.
Look at the detail put into decorating the venue. A perfect spot for couples that want a lot of DIY touches.
Amy and Nick – Red Jacket Inn, North Conway – NH Fall Wedding
READ MOREWhen you love to hike in New Hampshire, you tend to know North Conway fairly well. The rock climbing is famous, and the town serves as one of the gateways to some tremendous outdoor activities. Like many of our couples, Amy and Nick decided to do a “first look” which gave us the opportunity to travel all over North Conway with them and their wedding party – taking wedding photos – and really getting to see the town and area that means so much to them. Their relationship is marked by having a good time together, and it really came through in the photos.
Amy and Nick wanted these backgrounds for photos because they love the outdoors. They met playing coed dodge-ball (doesn’t that speak volumes!) and love hiking and rock climbing. Their table centerpieces were so personalized, showing them on the peaks of some of the 4,000 footers they have climbed together. After the wedding ceremony, just the two of them went to the top of Cathedral Ledge – another special location to them. I was so excited about this plan, but also mildly terrified as I have a fear of heights and cliff faces … but I’ll do pretty much anything for my couples, so up we went, and these are some of my favorite images of the day because it looks like they are in the sky, at the end of the earth.
A special thanks to the vendors that made their day a success:
- The wedding was held in North Conway, NH at the Red Jacket Inn
- The music was by Aaron Denney
- The flowers were from Ruthie’s Flower Shop
- The cake was made by the Sugar Maker Bakery
- The pies were made by Grammy Gordon’s Pies

I love their centerpieces!
I think she’s a little excited to see him!
Their personalities really shine here.
Lindsey and Shaun – Glen Arbor Golf Club – NY Summer Wedding
READ MOREWe were so thrilled when Lindsey and Shaun asked us to photograph their wedding. They have been together for years and got married in one of the most beautiful wedding venues around – the Glen Arbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills, NY. The facility is amazing, built to look like a historic mansion – but only 10 years old. The staff was unbelievably accommodating, working hard to make sure the wedding went smoothly.
A few years ago, we photographed Lindsey’s sister’s wedding and loved working with the family. They are all so close and her parents are just amazing people. What a pleasure it was to be called back to serve such a delightful family! The entire wedding day was filled with laughter, punctuated by heartfelt emotion and thanksgiving. The expression on her father’s face during the first look photo, and as Lindsey walked down the aisle, was so poignant. Even I got choked up.
Lindsey and Shaun love to clown around and laugh together. You could really see how much they enjoy being together, just by watching them interact. And they are the nicest people. At one point, Lindsey hugged the florist because she was so excited about the flowers that had been put together. (rightfully so, they were just gorgeous!)
Mike and I wish you every happiness, both now and in the future. XXOO, Mike & Becca
A special thanks to the vendors that made their day a success:
- The wedding was held at the Glen Arbor Golf Club
- The music was by the Andrew at Turntable Events
- The flowers were from Greenwich Orchids
- The cakes were made by Marissa, Glen Arbor Pastry Chef
We love this series of Lindsey with her parents, especially the look on her father’s face seeing her for the first time, and her sister watching from the background! Her father had refused to see the dress before this moment.
Another great photo of the bride and groom with family. What a wonderful, big-hearted family they are.
So much laughter and fun at this wedding!
They way Lindsey’s Dad looked at her just before giving her away brought tears to my eyes!
Jessa and Chris – Dockside Guest Quarters – York, ME Summer Wedding
READ MOREWe were so excited when Jessa and Chris got engaged! Jessa has been a bridesmaid in SIX weddings we have photographed – all from this same circle of friends! We were thrilled when she got engaged and hoped she would contact us to photograph her wedding. We always know when we work with her circle that a good time will be had by all!! Meeting Chris’s friends just added to that excitement.
Jessa and Chris met out on the town, interacting a few times before becoming something permanent. The funny thing is that Jessa doesn’t remember meeting him the first time. Chris certainly did and made sure to make an impression the second time they met!
Chris is a basketball player and currently runs a basketball league in New Hampshire. At the reception, the entire wedding party was announced wearing basketball jerseys showing off their basketball skills (kind of 😉 …) – a nice touch representing his career.
We were also pumped to be working with their DJ, Joey, from A Main Event, and are always so giddy when we see that we are working with him! Joey knows how to have a good time! (though with Jessa and Chris’s friends he didn’t have to work too hard)
Jessa’s dress also deserves its own mention. It was one of the most beautiful, unique wedding gowns we have seen with a stunning flowered texture overlayed on the fabric.
Mike and I wish you every happiness, both now and in the future. XXOO, Mike & Becca
A special thanks to the vendors that made their day a success:
- The ceremony and reception were in York, Maine at Dockside Guest Quarters
- The music was by DJ Joey Dion from A Main Event
- The flowers were from theFlower Kiosk
- The cake was made by Let Them Eat Cake

Look at the flowered texture on the dress. Really unique and beautiful!
A wonderful first look photo
What a great way to celebrate a marriage!
Emily and Michael – Flag Hill Winery – NH Summer Wedding
READ MOREEmily and Michael were such a joy to work with! They been together for 8 years, their relationship lasting through different colleges and many miles. It was evident in their interactions that they were just made for each other! Their big day started out in Exeter, where they did their first look and took photos in Swazey Park. From there, it was off to Flag Hill Winery for their ceremony and reception. There were so many thoughtful details incorporated into the day – Emily’s hand painted shoes, Michael’s gifted-for-a-day BMW convertible shared in support of surviving cancer (what an inspiration!), the peacock color scheme that just made everything pop and the cardinal in Emily’s bouquet in honor of her grandmother are just a few examples. We also loved the fusion of cultures, showcasing a traditional Asian tea ceremony as part of their reception. Even a little rain made for some great photos 🙂
Mike and I wish you every happiness, both now and in the future. XXOO, Mike & Becca

Melissa and John – The Barn at Gibbet Hill – Massachusetts Summer Wedding
READ MOREMelissa and John were such a pleasure to work with, interacting very naturally with lots of laughter and joy. The dance floor was completely full from start to finish, with many friends and family celebrating and wishing them well. The night of their wedding was the night the northern lights were supposed to be visible. Although some colors show up in one of the photos, we didn’t see the spectacular display that sometimes is present. However, as the night wound down, it was clear that the real magic was happening inside, between John and Melissa.
Mike and I wish you every happiness, both now and in the future. XXOO, Mike & Becca
A special thanks to the vendors that made their day a success:
- The ceremony was held in Nashua, NH at the Immaculate Conception Church
- The reception was at the Barn at Gibbet Hill
- The music was by the Boston Common Band
- The flowers were from Julie DeStefano
- The cake was made by Konditor Meister
John’s gift was one of the sweetest things I have ever seen. It was a quarter – saved from the night they first met. You see, John had been undecided about going out that night with friends. On a whim, he flipped a coin and let heads or tails decide his fate. Heads prevailed, and he went out. Later that night, he met Melissa. Ever since, he has saved that quarter and he gave it to her on their wedding day.
Cristina and Brian – Church Landing – Lake Winnepesauke – NH Summer Wedding
READ MOREThey say that rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck. I think it’s safe to say that if that old wives tale is true, Cristina and Brian will be blessed with luck beyond measure! The couple was able to have a beautiful first look and do the majority of their photos before moving onto the ceremony. As the ceremony ended and the clouds grew more and more ominous, the weather radar was still saying 0% chance of rain … and then the sky opened up. (Proof that the watching the weather channel for the hours, days and weeks leading up to your wedding is fruitless) After the rain ended their luck began as there was an amazing double rainbow that stretched right across Lake Winnipesaukee. Both of Brian’s parents have passed away, and the bride and groom took the double rainbow as a sign that they were looking on in love. I couldn’t agree more!
Some other special moments from the day included Brian riding into the ceremony on his Harley, and Cristina having her mother as the maid of honor. The band was great, the dance floor was full and everyone had a great time.
Mike and I wish you every happiness, both now and in the years to come. XXOO – Becca & Mike.
A special thanks to the vendors that made their day a success:

Emily and Daniel – Linda Bean’s Perfect Maine – LL Bean Barn – Maine Summer Wedding
READ MOREIf you are looking for a rustic, elegant wedding, look no further for inspiration than Emily and Daniel’s wedding. They were married at the L.L. Bean Barn in Weld, Maine, operated by Linda Bean’s Perfect Maine. The barn, beautiful to begin with, was transformed by Jacques Flower Shop into something magical.
We couldn’t have wished for anything more for such a nice couple. Emily and Daniel are both currently in medical school, with Daniel working as an ER physician and Emily studying to work in Pediatrics. Their wedding, filled with romantic and humorous touches, was a joy to capture. Mike and I wish you every happiness, both now and in the years to come. XXOO – Becca & Mike.
A special thanks to the vendors that made their day a success:
- The ceremony and reception were held at Linda Bean’s Perfect Maine Weddings – The Barn
- The flowers and all decorations were from Jacques Flower Shop
Check out all those AMAZING details!
All of Emily’s accessories, including her dress, were from JCrew. It was completely perfect for the setting!
Michele and Jordan – The Granite Rose – NH Summer Wedding
READ MOREWe love hearing the stories of how couples first met each other. So much seems to rely on being in the right place at the right time. In Michele and Jordan’s case, this was definitely true. Michele had just been on a bad blind date (with someone else) and was meeting a friend at a local bar in Mass to commiserate. Jordan had never been there, but happened to be there that night. He overheard them talking, introduced himself and they have been together ever since.
The love between them was just so visible and vibrant. We really felt they had the wedding trifecta: a great venue, a great DJ, and a couple very much in love.
Mike and I wish you every happiness, both now and in the years to come. XXOO – Becca & Mike.
A special thanks to the vendors that made their day a success:
- The ceremony and reception were held at The Granite Rose
- The cake was created by Jacques European Fine Pastries
- DJ and Entertainment by A Main Event & DJ Dave Nadeau
- The flowers were from Susanne’s Weddings
Throughout the night you would catch Michele and Jordan sharing special, intimate, moments like this one. Capturing little moments like this are one of the things I love about being a wedding photographer!
Erin and Greg – Sunday River North Peak Lodge – Maine Summer Wedding
READ MOREWe recently photographed a wedding that incorporated the couple’s love of skiing. It was Erin and Greg, featured in this week’s blog post!
Both Erin and Greg grew up skiing and have spent considerable time swishing down the slopes. They met on E-Harmony (love the internet!) and quickly incorporated skiing into their time together. In fact, Erin’s dad used to work at Sunday River. When the time came to plan the wedding, it was a natural fit to have the wedding and reception at the Sunday River North Peak Lodge.
We loved the ski boot flower “pots” and the ski mountain seating chart. Even the table numbers were mountain names. The guests all rode the chairlift up to the event and were treated to amazing views and blue skies filled with clouds. It all flowed together perfectly creating a seamless day!
A wonderful wedding and a great use of their shared love for an activity. Mike and I wish you every happiness, both now and in the years to come. XXOO – Becca & Mike.
A special thanks to the vendors that made their day a success:
- The ceremony and reception were held at Sunday River North Peak Lodge
- The cake was created by Piece of Cake Bakery
- DJ and Entertainment by DJ Brian Poulin

I love this first look with Erin’s Dad!
They seriously had some amazing clouds float through the sky!
