Kaydi + Bryan - Union Bluff Meeting House - York, Maine, Wedding Photography
Every now and then we work with couples who we don’t have the chance to meet until their wedding day. Kaydi and Bryan were one of those couples. We had been able to meet through skype and talk on the phone, and I have to tell you, based on those conversations, I was SO excited to finally be able to meet them face-to-face. They live in New York, just outside the city and did an amazing job planning a wedding from so far away. Everything came together perfectly!
Kaydi even got a little (in the form of little brother) surprise herself. You know those military homecoming videos on youtube that make you cry … Kaydi’s brother, a Marine, was able to surprise her by getting leave. She thought he would only be attending the wedding via FaceTime. I was thankful for auto focus, because if you think the videos are tear jerkers, seeng it in person made me blubbering mess behind my camera. It was such an amazing moment to witness. She and Bryan truly had no idea and having him there made the day that much more perfect.
Even though it rained off and on all day, they were able to get married over looking the ocean in York. They even braved the elements to head out for a few photos at Nubble Lighthouse. The weather actually worked in our favor with Kaydi’s amazing veil. (which was actually her mothers!) It blew beautifully in the wind!
We had such a great time with you both!
