Colleen and Jeff are my kind of people!  They know how to have a good time, have amazing families and great friends.  (And Colleen wore Kate Spade Keds … does it get any better than that???  I seriously need a pair!)

Anyone who knows me knows I love all weddings, but there was something a little extra special about Christyn and Dustin’s big day.  We first met Chistyn almost 7 years ago when she was an assistant in our oldest son’s first grade class.  He is going into 8th grade this year!  A couple years later, she was the assistant in our youngest son’s kindergarten class.  From there she became our weekend nanny, so we got to know her fairly well and our boys adore her.  We couldn’t have been happier when she asked us to photograph her wedding.  We always feel like we are hanging out with friends when we are working, but in Christyn and Dustin’s case, we really were.  Watching the two of them laugh together there was no doubt they are meant to be.

As the mom of two boys these images of Dustin and his mother got me a little choked up.

What a perfect day to celebrate a wedding on the lake! I adored Amy’s choice to have the bridesmaids in different colors. All the colors popped and added such a gorgeous, unique element to the day. They also had, quite possibly, one of the best dessert options I’ve eveer seen! A decorate your own cupcake station! You heard me, decorate your own cupcakes! Frosting, toppings, the works. AMAZING! We were so happy to have been a part of it.

Meredith and Craig had an amazing New Years Eve wedding at The Wentworth by the Sea Hotel in Newcastle New Hampshire. Watching these two together was nothing short of amazing! Seriously, take a look at the photos and you can tell instantly how much they just truly enjoy one another. Meredith was glowing ALL night. And her dress?!? OMG that dress! I have photographed many, many weddings and never have I seen one so amazing and unique. Thank you both so much for including us in your big day! I can’t think of anywhere else we would have wanted to ring in the new year!

Courtney and Chris had an amazing, beautiful wedding celebration. There’s something about weddings around Christmas that make me smile just a little more.  This is one of my favorite times of year and being surrounded by a room full of happy people makes it even better. Take a look and try not to smile, I dare you.

Meredith and Tyler have a storybook history with one another.  We have photographed high school sweethearts before, but this was a first for first grade sweethearts 🙂 They grew up together and spent many childhood days playing and searching the woods for deer antlers. Tyler actually said, in 3rd grade, that he would marry Meredith one day.  He knew back then that she was the only girl for him!  They officially got together when they were 15 and have been together ever since. Their day was a wonderful celebration of their love and we were so happy to be a part of it.

What an amazing day Janice and Mike had for their wedding at Camp Ogontz.  This was our second time photographing a wedding here (the first being Mike’s best man’s wedding a few years ago!) and I seriously consider it a little hidden piece of Heaven on Earth.  From the cabins, to the views, to the barn everything about it is so peaceful and amazing.  It was a perfect fit to Janice and Mike’s laid back, fun-loving personalities.  This venue really lends itself to couples who want a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the day with family and friends, which is exactly what Janice and Mike did.  It was a privilege to be there to document it.

There is something so special about weddings that take place at private residences.  I love all the personal touches that couples are able to add making the wedding so much more their own.  Laura and Sean got married at her family’s property in Wolfeboro, NH.  After the ceremony the lovely couple, along with their wedding party, hopped into a couple boats for a quick trip around the lake as guests made their way to cocktail hour.  Tables were set up so that guests could all enjoy a view of the lake over dinner followed by a night of dancing in the house.

What an amazing day Liana and David had for their wedding at Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, Ma.  A bit warm for early September, but in New England, we all know Mother Nature is wildly unpredictable, so a day with no rain and blue skies is a win!  These two were just so much fun to spend the day with.  Both so relaxed and easy going with amazing families and friends.  I’m not sure it gets much better.  We started with a first look in the conservation area next to Willowdale where the light was absolutely heavenly and then met up with bridal party and family to finish up photos before the ceremony.  One of the (many) benefits of doing a first look is that once the ceremony was over, Liana and David were able to join right in with their guests for cocktail hour.  It’s great to get that extra time to say hello and give some extra hugs.  From cocktail hour they went into the reception under the tent where the band Young Love and The Thrills completely rocked the party.

When the bride walks down the isle to the Star Wars theme song and the groom’s vows include bits of Game of Thrones, Star Wars and Star Trek you know you  have a pretty amazing couple destined for big things.  They may never settle the debate of which is better … Star Wars or Star Trek but I have no doubt that they will take the galaxy by storm either way!  thank you so much for including us in your special day!
