You know those perfect days?  The ones that aren’t too hot and aren’t too cold.  The sun is out, but the air is comfortable.  That was what it was like in York, Maine for Chris and Sarina’s big day.  We had so much fun with these love birds and their families.  Check them out!

What a perfect day Mary and Lee had for their wedding at The Oaks in Somersworth NH.  It had been a few years since we had been to a wedding there and we were thrilled to be back.  The room is gorgeous with wall to wall hardwood flooring and the golf course offers the most beautiful backdrop to be married.

Like many couples, Mary and Lee decided to do a first look and see each other before their ceremony.  Their first moments together even got me a little choked up!  It’s such an honor to be trusted to document such intimate moments.  A big thank you to the bride and groom for having us!

Katie and Tyler had a perfect day at Loon Mountain!  The views were spectacular (as always!), the temperature was not too hot for a July day and they were surrounded by so much love and so many smiles!  We’ve seen a lot of personal touches during weddings, but this may be the first wedding I’ve seen where the groom made his own ring.  I absolutely loved it!

Becca and Matt’s wedding was the merger of two houses … Gryffindor and Revenclaw …. any wedding with Harry Potter undertones is a winner in my book!  From the hand painted Harry Potter shoes (CHECK THEM OUT!) to the golden snitch tie, it was such a great way to incorporate a bit of themselves into their big day.  Becca ad Matt are also big theatre buffs, and after the wedding were off to a honeymoon in London to take in a few shows.  I can’t wait to hear all about it.

I love weddings where we have worked with the family before!  In Jamie and Gordie’s case, we had photographed two of Jamie’s cousins where Jamie was a bridesmaid and now it was her turn to be the bride.  What a stunning bride she was!  Her dress may be among my list of favorites through the years.  I loved the delicate lace sleeves and the tulle skirt.  It was such a classic look that suited her perfectly!    The gardens at Glen Magna Farms, where they got married, are amazing!  The entire day had such a feeling of classic elegance and we were so happy to be there!

Anyone who knows me knows I love all weddings, but there was something a little extra special about Christyn and Dustin’s big day.  We first met Chistyn almost 7 years ago when she was an assistant in our oldest son’s first grade class.  He is going into 8th grade this year!  A couple years later, she was the assistant in our youngest son’s kindergarten class.  From there she became our weekend nanny, so we got to know her fairly well and our boys adore her.  We couldn’t have been happier when she asked us to photograph her wedding.  We always feel like we are hanging out with friends when we are working, but in Christyn and Dustin’s case, we really were.  Watching the two of them laugh together there was no doubt they are meant to be.

As the mom of two boys these images of Dustin and his mother got me a little choked up.

Lindsay and Jack have been together more than half of their lives.  Their first date was in middle school and they have been an item ever since.  Seeing them together, it’s easy to understand why.  I’m not sure there was a moment Lindsay wasn’t laughing and smiling ear to ear.  My cheeks hurt editing this wedding because her smile was contagious.  I have no doubt that they will continue laughing together until they are old and gray!

What a perfect day to celebrate a wedding on the lake! I adored Amy’s choice to have the bridesmaids in different colors. All the colors popped and added such a gorgeous, unique element to the day. They also had, quite possibly, one of the best dessert options I’ve eveer seen! A decorate your own cupcake station! You heard me, decorate your own cupcakes! Frosting, toppings, the works. AMAZING! We were so happy to have been a part of it.

Everyone know that weddings are notorious for running late.  Kristin and David were the exact opposite.  Not only were they right on time, everything was ahead of schedule!  It was a photographers dream to not be rushed and to have all the time in the world to take photos.   We had so much fun hanging out with their families during the photo time, everyone was so happy to be together.  We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these lovebirds.
